I make utilitarian works that employ sculptural aspects.  I carve repetitive patterns such as flower petals, insect texture, breeze block shapes, woodgrains, and plant symmetry into my pieces.  While my work focuses on growth, change, and stages of life, each piece is inspired by features of different phases.  I primarily fire atmospheric kilns, working with the kiln to add depth  to the pieces.  Making unique pieces that serve a purpose and enhance daily life is a driving factor in my work.
